Xavier Nicolau grew up within the walls of a restaurant, he stood out because of his creativity even as a child, when he was already preparing cakes and pastries in a bakery called Cana Mosca, which was located in front of his current house Cas Solleric. He then finished his studies and after ten years working in another area, he decided to give his life a change and specialized in gastronomy. He worked in different kitchens with different styles, soaking up all the teachings from a variety of different but great professionals and teachers within this world of stoves, then working as a chef of cuisine in Barcelona, Palma, Ibiza and London where he continued learning.

His efforts have been recognized with several awards in culinary excellence. He was chosen to instruct and supervise all the finalists and winners of Masterchef 2010 for 30 days in his kitchen in London’s Soho.
